This scope is really tempting me. I have wide field scopes but little in the way of a high power lunar, planetary, double star scope. I do have an ed 80 which I could use with the mount for astro pics. So what do you think? Price, value, quality, bang for buck? http://www.skywatcherusa.com/product.php?productid=20&cat=7&page=1

I have the ED 100mm SkyWatcher Pro (Gold Tube), and I love it!! It is a perfect compliment telescope for the ED 80mm. I have them both mounted on my Orion SkyView Atl/Az mount, and every night is a good night!

AKA Blackdiamond series according to the "parent" Skywatcher site.
BLACK DIAMOND ED100
Glad to see those F/9 ED's not phased out by those 4" f/7 ED's.

The home site shows in one place you get a 2 inch 28mm ep and another spot adv 20, and 5mm le ep's. The USA site adv 2 super plossl 32mm and 10mm. None of the these ep's are all that great, but it would be easier to sell 2 ep's with another scope down the road. Would the mount be the same as the cg5 mount from Celestron?

Different mounts, maybe give the CG-5 GT a small advantage in carrying capacity with it's 2" steel legs and the Skywatcher EQ-5 with it's assumed quieter stepper motors vs the noisy servo types on the Celestron. Goto accuracy should be the same, but I'am only familiar with the Celestron.
