Jupiter 8/2/2008 GRS
      #2559243 - 08/04/08 11:04 AM Attachment (18 downloads)

First attempt at the GRS! I made lots of mistakes in the capture, wrong codec, difficulty in focusing the red channel etc. But the final result was better than expected. I spent a little extra time aligning the RGB channels for the one moon present which was harder than I thought it would be...

DMK21AF04.AS
C8 2x powermate
Captured in IC Capture, three 1 min captures
Orion filters and wheel
Processed in Registax, Astra Image, Images plus and PS CS3

Thanks Johnny!
I'll make sure I choose the right codec from now on, the squished look and funny vertical lines happened when I had to convert to a codec I could process in regisatx or images plus. It seems like I am always getting bitten by the learning curve!
