DIY Mount - Equatorial platform (tripod version)
      #2560129 - 08/04/08 06:28 PM

This mount can be built completely out of wood. It should not be made as a first project.
It has two systems on board. The upper part is in fact an Alt-Az mount and the lower part is an equatorial platform.
Depending on the lenght of the curved part it can track stars up to 2 maybe 3 hours.

Small disadvantage : you need extra wheigts to compensate for the scope.

Usage :
1- Small to medium telescopes.
2- Reflector - Refractor.
3- Very transportable mount.
