I already have and love the 13. Since getting the 13 I mainly use two pieces, the Ethos 13 and the T26 Nagler.
Would the 8E do me justice? Main scopes are 12, 16 and 18 DOB.

IMO, yes.
I've only had one session with mine but the first views were impressive. M13 - The beauty of this cluster really stood out. M17 - The ghostly Swan was large and detailed. Jupiter - It plus four moons stayed in view for what felt like minutes instead of seconds.

Yes! At the Nebraska Star Party the 8 Ethos had the central star in the Ring Nebula winking at us in a 20" f/5 Obsession @ 318X.

As the owner of a 26T6 + 13 Ethos + 8 Ethos, I can answer your question:
IF you find the 13Ethos worthwhile impressive and useful then
YES.
(That's as in, yes without any need for further qualification). There's a reason more and more dob owners are finding a 31 or 26N + 13E + 8E to be nearly a self-contained complete eyepiece set unto itself. It is.

Thanks all for the replies. I love the 13 and I'm sure from all these replies I'll love the 8.
And Chris you are right, 26N, 13E and 8E is all I will probably need.
