I tried this to clean off the 6" and I got some pretty good results I wanted to see what others thought..
If it is genlte dust and spots you want to remove but dusting or blowing doesnt work
I tried using a mister to mist the corrector with a mix of Isopropyl alcohol and distilled water, then pointed the OTA down and used compressed air to blow the mixture off the corrector..it would hit the sides of the oTA drip off, dirt with it.
Any thoughts?

I'm no expert, but if I had to make an educated guess, I'd say the distilled water is okay. The alcohol may leave a film or residue on your optics, and I'm not entirely sure how it will interact with any coatings that may be on them. In photography, using alcohol-based cleaners is a big no-no.

The solution you used is good, but the technique might cause problems on an SCT. On an open reflector mirror, rinsing it with your solution would work well because it just runs off the edge of the mirror. But on an SCT, the corrector is mounted around the edge to a metal rim. When the liquid hits the edge it can wick into that edge and find its way inside the SCT.

I made up Dr. Clay's specified solutions (very similar to yours), used the recommended technique and can vouch for its effectiveness. It works great!
