Wasn't a lunar crash scheduled for sometime in Feb. '09 in search of water? And would it be observable?

The LCrOSS impact probe is scheduled for launch as a secondary payload with the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter(LRO) probably in November of this year barring any delays. An exact launch date has not yet been set. Clear skies to you.

Oops, looks like the launch of LRO has been swapped with the military payload of the Air Force's X37B reentry vehicle, so LRO will launch in February of 2009. Oh well, it will still be nice to see an Atlas 5 take off (and maybe watch the X37B landing at Vandenberg if they allow TV coverage). Clear skies to you.
