Total solar eclipse in Novosibirsk Russia 1Aug2008 new
      #2555634 - 08/02/08 01:31 AM Attachment (49 downloads)

Dear friends,

Here is a very preliminary image (one of the set of 91 images taken), to show very raw data that I have made during the total eclipse in Novosibirsk, Russia.
Here is a crop without resize of the image taken with Canon 350D and Jupiter-37A lens 135mm F/3.5 at F/8
No processing, just crop for preview... I plan to process data when I shall come back home to Moscow.

I try to process the images taken, here is a first try to combine images with 1 to 1/250sec. expositions, 7 series are stacked, 9 images in each. I still have a lot to learn about processing of such rare event...

One more attempt to combine all different areas of corona to imitate the visual impression. I have stacked the images with equal exposition in Registax, then combined the results into a single image and applied the unsharp mask made by radial blur. I think that it is difficult to squeeze more details from 135mm of focal length...
