I simply can not believe that there seem to be people who are actually drawn to desire these Barlows, sight unseen. My guess is that much of the same crowd that was drawn to the 3 element designs is included. Also those who formerly preached short, short, short may be included here. Even people who routinely hate Barlows perhaps. Are we witnessing the power of pure advertising induced delusion?
As for me, I say: "Let the Rabbits run!"
There may be value here, so "perhaps" the value will be revealed by the rabbits. However, there is also the strong tendency to become enamored by new toys to the point of not seeing the deficiencies until much later than the first few months of ownership. I myself have suffered from this many times.

Just checking to see if anyone has purchased one of these, and what their opinion of it is after having used it for awhile.

Reminds me of the ever-increasing blade count in Gillette razors. Currently up to 5 there, too! Where will it end?!?
...
And similarly, SNL in 1975 did a skit on that way long ago when the 3-blades came out. Their mock commercial showed razors with not 1, not 2, but 3 blades to shave you closer. And the annoucer said, "The Triple-Trac. Because you'll believe anything" ...and look how we've progressed...now we have 5 blades

The ads in the UK go something like "The first blade shaves you close - the second closer still..."
I can't help thinking, why not just put the first blade where the second one goes...?

Are those blades air-spaced? Multi-coated?

My guess is this is to compete with the TV Powermates. I think Meade has something like this too.
For my own self, I prefer a conventional achromatic Barlow.
I have the Meade 4-element 5x TeleXtender and I like it quite a bit. It has excellent contrast and is well protected from stray light, and (considering the high power you end up with) keeps the image sharp. I don't have a 5x Televue Powermate to compare it with though.
I just saw these things at MASP on Saturday. Holy Hyades! these things are hideously huge! They may throw up a good image but I just can't see myself adding this much bulk, weight, and h-e-i-g-h-t to my telescope, at least not for visual use. Now for imaging? Perhaps, but I would think you would need a really well-built focuser. Between the weight and the extra distance your equipment is from the focuser, I would imagine this would put a strain on an inexpensive focuser.
