Need a project? Save this Celestron OTA...
      #2564882 - 08/06/08 08:17 PM

Cruising my favorite govt. surplus site and found this Celestron OTA for sale under the heading "camera lens". Could be a good find for someone, maybe a project scope to try out that peltier cooling set up on, maybe spare parts, maybe...who knows?

Too bad I'm not closer. It looks like the Corrector is fine too and probably just needs a good cleaning.

Yeah, I will get an estimate on the shipping and make a bid. You can never have enough scopes floating around the house! LOL.

The problem is getting someone to properly pack it. As it is now, it's just "tossed" into that cardboard box with everything else in that lot.

I have used their packing service and they do a decent job, not great but decent.
