Removing Sec Baffle on LX5 new
      #2564878 - 08/06/08 08:16 PM

I'm about to start refiguring a secondary in an undercorrected 10" LX-5 for a customer. I've got the secondary itself out but I can't figure out how to remove the secondary baffle assembly from the corrector plate. The reason for this is to be able to autocollimate the whole system by repeatedly replacing the secondary into position on an adjustable holder. If anyone has done this give me a clue.

It will unscrew into 2 pieces. Grab the outer part, and the inner baffle, and twist. Be careful since it is plastic. Just hope someone didn't decide to glue it..

Thanks Jeff I'll try that again. I was afraid to apply to much force to it before because as you say it is plastic.
