I use my 13mm Ethos on my Pentax PF-80ED in the daytime in my backyard since it won't reach infinity focus but there should be no such problem with the 80ED using a 2" diagonal.

The Ethos works fine in my Orion 80ED. I have to use it in 2" mode with my Antares 2" mirror diagonal, because it doesn't come to focus in 1.25" mode with the supplied 1.25" to 2" adapter (not enough in-travel). But that's ok. The views are really nice, and the lack of kidney-beaning means it's fun to use during the daytime too. At night, stars remain pinpoints to the edge, I don't even get much field curvature.
