I'm not trying to be a wet blanket here but what does that image of a revolver have to do with bolt cases.

A previous poster indicated he was concerned with thieves. There are other solutions... This one is VERY effective...
But in deference to your concern, I'll edit the post and remove the photo...

Carol....
My Eyepiece case is bolted to a Mechanics stool which I removed the seat and bolted a piece of plywood to the stool and then attached the case to the plywood
Mechanics stools have wheels...so I just roll it over to the scope next to my observation chair so it is always at my side ... when finished I roll it over to the wall of my observatory...
Think I paid something like 39 bucks for the stool... works fine...

The bolt cases take up too much room and I would need four Pelicans to hold what fits in two now.
If you use the bolt cases and pick foam, I would agree. However, I use Pelican dividers instead of foam. Even using the bolt cases, I can get more eyepieces in a case with dividers than using foam without bolt cases! To paraphrase your statement, the foam takes up too much room and I would need four Pelicans to hold what fits in two now.
...and I have the ability to reconfigure the dividers instead of having to buy new foam.
