To all (addendum edited)
I forgot to add that I would not recommend this paper for fine details as I discovered that the 'tooth' is very coarse and heavy, that is to say that it is a very rough surface- Unless yo work with a very large image and I rendered a 10" diamter lunar disc here, you will lose detail- Hence why Strathmore's Artagain paper is becoming prefered for astro art. By comparison, the Artagain paper is virtualy as smooth as finely sanded hard wood. (*Note: The heavy canvas-like texture and appearance here.)
I am not sure where I am going with these as I feel that this one os not finished. I have gone as far as I can through the eyepiece to qualify it for the forum as the moon set, so 1 1/2 hours for the surface details and mostly just the trminator, I had to alow the general surface area slide from any appreciable detail aside from the maria positions.
This was from 8:30 ~ 10:00 PDT (2:30 ~ 4 UT)
Strathmore 400 Balboa Blue paper in 20 X 24, *Lunar disc size is 10"
Observed through 10.1" f/4.5 Coulter Odyssey purchased in 1987- Never collimated yet- 25mm plossl produces 50X.
I should display other details of atmosphere, dew point, etc? A balmy humid evening and nice to sit out in the front yard under unprotected sreet-lights creating terrible light pollution and just sketch and share views through the eyepiece with neighbors.

Mark,
Beautiful capture of old luna at the beginning of nightfall. It captures the telescope view and the mood of the event as well. The coarse tooth to the paper adds to the beauty but I must confess when I have used this type of paper it gave me fits-- inexperience. An observing friend of mine had one of those 10.1" Coulter mirrors from the late 1980's and it imaged very nicely.

While the coarse paper is sometimes a pain and one does lose detail, it does provide a neat effect. Your Dob should really pay off on detailed sketches but I would check collimation...it will make a difference in fine detail in the craters. Very nice sketch. Roland

Mark,
I am sorry that I missed this wonderful observation of the Moon. You have captured the essence of our celestial neighbor in the night sky. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
