Well, as long as you don't have the rockin' pneumonia. The only cure for that is a shot of rhythm and blues.

And what a bite it is. Over the past 20 years at one time or another I've owned every single high end Tele Vue eyepiece with the with the exception of the 41mm Panoptic and the 20mm T5 Nagler. And given the ones I still have, I don't need either of those now.

Yes, I've been seduced by the new Ethos series and hope for the day when my monoviewing eyepiece set consists of all Ethos eyepieces in the following focal lengths: 21-17-10-8-6-5-4-3.

In the meantime, I'll just have to limp along with my 26mm, 5mm & 3.5mm Naglers plus my 13 & 8mm Ethos.

Resistance is futile.

Same here,

31T5, 26T5, 22T4, 17T4, 13T6, 12T4, 11T6, 9T6, 2x Powermate, Paracorr, 2x Barlow ... and a 24 Panoptic.

I've so far resisted the siren song of the Ethos but I really have an urge to try the 20T5. I like the T5 series.

The 20T5 is razor-sharp. If you like the other T5's, you'll love the 20T5. The Ethos EP's aren't bad either.

I have to say that I'm very pleased with the Ethos line. It has enabled me to actually reduce my eyepiece collection. I'm betting that the next Ethos is in the 18-22mm range (I hope.) Then I'd just sell my 27mm Pan and still have only four eyepieces. I really like less eyepieces (since I really have only one scope.) I spend less time adjusting balance and changing eyepieces and more time viewing.

I went out last night to a semi-dark site. I've only got the 13T6 and 9T6 in hand right now, but they really got a work out. I was lucky enough to be out with a more experienced observer who pointed some things out to me. Man we had some great views! Both Naglers were great on nebulas, doubles, and clusters. There were a few times I wished I had the pans I have on order for lower power stuff. I can't wait to get those. I'll definitely have to wait until I pay this stuff off before I feed the bug again.

Thanks, It took me over a year to put the collection together. I was making overtime like crazy at work and was buying one or two lenses per month. Just as I completed all the T6s, Al comes up with the Ethos. I just managed to get the 13 and then the money ran out. And I really want the 8 mm Ethos bad!!! Maybe by Christmas. I'm lucky to have a wife who let's me buy whatever I want (God bless her). For a while I was using my G11 mount with the small but exceptional TV60is. It was a site to behold, this tiny scope on an overkill mount. But my logic was that I would never outgrow the G11 unless I hit Lotto or something and eventually would get a larger refractor. I eventually did get the TV 102 as I am mainly a planetary, lunar and double star observer. Let me tell you, this scope blew my mind. I took advantage of the sale and got what I think is the finest refractor for the money in a 4 " aperture. My obsession with collecting TV lenses is justified in that I am getting the best (in my humble opinion) and I'm keeping them for life. Next I'm getting a Losmandy adapter plate so I can set both scopes side by side. That should be fun. I've looked through many scopes including a 10" Clark and a 24" Dob and I can honestly say that the most impressive views of the planets have been through my TeleVue scopes and lenses. If AL keeps making them, I'll keep buying them. From looking at my line up, you can tell I prefer the widest possible fields. That's why I can't justify buying Radians, although I've seen great views through my friend's Radians. But why get a 10mm Radian when I already have a 9mm & 11mm T6 Nagler. That just wouldn't make sense for me anyway. Stay with TV lenses, you can't go wrong.
Best Regards
