Hi all,
Can you buy the HEQ5 PRO SynScan in the US? If yes, do you know where?
Also, do you have any thoughts or experience with this mount?
Can it use EQMOD and EQDIR?
Thanks a lot for your help,
M.

Orion sells the same mount except that it is called the Sirius mount. It can use EQmod and EQdir.

I noticed that SkyWatcher now has a location in the U.S., Costa Mesa to be exact. Here in Canada (B.C.) they are located in Burnaby, B. C., just across the water from me. This is where my HEQ5-Pro came from, although I bought it through a dealer, SkyWatcher Canada does not sell direct. I saw the American advertisements in both the August and September issues of S & T.
(I just checked their U.S. site and I see the "revamped" HEQ5 with the SynScan retrofit but NOT the HEQ5 Pro...it might be because Synta produces the Orion version of the HEQ5-Pro.)

Randall, Thanks a lot for the reference!
yg1968, I noticed that the HEQ5 has collimation error correction or PEC (I'm assuming is the same thing), but I don't think the Sirius has it, right or wrong?
Thanks again!

Please, forgive my last question. I just noticed that Sirius has PEC too.
Thanks for your help,
M.
