For those that have been able to do a direct comparison between the 31mm Type 5 Nagler and the new Celestron 31mm Axiom LX, what are the differences, if any, in true field of view?
Looking at Televue's website, it appears the 31T5 has a 42mm field stop. But I'm guessing there's pincushion distortion, because (42)/(31)*180/pi = 77.6 deg, not 82-deg.
Thoughts from those that have compared these titanic eyepieces?

I haven't had a chance to use the 31 Axiom LX, and would be interested in learning the field stop diameter, whether the focal point is inside the eyepiece similar to the 31T5, and a direct head to head comparison with a Paracorr. You are correct about the pincussion in the 31T5 - it can be annoying while sweeping the sky, but I can easily ignore it as the stars are still sharp at the edge of the field.

I have two eyepieces, the 31T5 and the 13E. I have never looked thru an Axiom, but I know the 31T5 is my favorite, even over the Ethos. No question.
