Went to my local camera shop and saw a used pair of 20x60 Russian Tento binocs today. I tried them out front of the store and the resolution on these bins were very sharp.
Useable FOV was about 70-75% I would say and for a 20x binocular they throw out about a 3.5° FOV.
At $75.00 with a tripod included, this is a real steal.....they just don't make binocs like these anymore. I had a pair just like these 25 years ago and I'm going to be picking them up soon !!!
Here is what they look like. (this is a stock photo not the real ones I saw), but they look just like these.

I, too, was impressed by these when I encountered them in '94 or '95... so I bought a pair. The objectives are f/4.5, which is a bit longer than the more usual f/3.8 - f/4. The exit pupils are clean, and the AFoV is a pleasing 65-ish deg., with quite sharp views over most of the field.
Eventually I used the objectives/barrels in a "Frankenbino" project, which used a Celestron Nova 7x35 body and 85 deg. AFoV eyepieces from a pair of Bushnell Xtra-Wides. The result was an 18X60 with a 5 deg. field. Everyone who looked at star fields through them were pretty much bowled over.

I agree.....I remember the views thru these like it were yesterday....big FOV and stars all over the place...I can't wait to see M-42 in these...The view will be breathtaking !!!
The binocs were only slightly out of alignment and the store owner will be lining them up for me before I pick them up.
