Hi Folks,
I was finally able to get an image of the Lunar X tonight around sunset. Imaged through a C-8, prime focus, using a Toucam 840. Seeing 4/10 Trans 9/10
Thanks for reminder Dana!

Superb resolution and exposure, Allen.
So many X and Walter Ray shots, including mine done with the Tak 130S, are done with insufficient focal length and scale. Just not enough pixels on target. The next X is Sept. 7 @ 0945 UT, which would be 0445 CDT, so it's not favorably placed (but I'll try it anyway). But the one on October is perfect at 1726 CDT. I'm either going to shoot it with my 16" f/6 Newt and/or my Tinsley 5" f/15 Mak, mounted on my Paramount. I'm going to try making a movie (again) with more scale at focal length. You ought to try making a movie yourself.
I found this list of X predictions over in another forum:
Sep 7 0945 UT
Oct 6 2126 UT
Nov 5 1029 UT
Dec 5 0050 UT

Thanks everyone! If I hadn't come across Dana's reminder, I would have missed it (again!).
I've marked the October date on my calendar, so hopefully I'll get some images of the X again and possibly get an animation together, as Mike suggested. Good luck with your animation Mike, looking forward to seeing it.
Thanks again.
