For your photo entries, please provide a description that includes:
Your First and Last Name;
Date of photo (can include the time);
Description (title) of the image;
Relevant photo information (exposure length and equipment used).

This is important! If you don't supply ALL information, we won't be able to use your photograph!!!!

Please note: due to copyright issues, all photos MUST be original (If they aren't then you will be banned from this section of the forum!).

To facilitate the judging we respectfully ask that you not enter comments in the photo thread. You will find a commentary thread for the Lunar photo entries. Thanks and good luck!

Luna - 11-19-04
Charlie Hein, Weston, FL

Equipment:
Orion Sky View Pro 80mmED
SAC 7b camera

This is a composite of 12 JPEG frames. Each frame is made up of 10 stacked frames (with RegiStax) from .avi's captured with K3CCDTools. The 12 frames were contrast balanced and hand merged using the Photomerge feature in Elements, then brought back into RegiStax for a very light wavelet processing.

This was my first attempt at a mosaic.

Charlie

Hello,

Crater Janssen
Oct 30th 2004 from Shalimar, Florida.
12 inch LX200GPS at f/30.
1,900 frames stacked with RegiStax.
DMK 21F04 CCD Camera, 30 fps, 1/33s per frame.

Kirk Vanden

Notes: I took 9 AVI's of Janssen on Oct 30th. I was working
at f/30 and needed quite a few shots to cover
the whole area well. I put together this mosaic
from those AVI's. I used RegiStax and about 1,900 frames
per AVI. The posted image is a 1/4 size version of the
full size one, which greatly exceeded the posting size
guidelines for CloudyNights.
