ISS completion date? new
      #2568284 - 08/08/08 11:31 AM

Due to the loss of Colombia in 2003, the indended completion date for the ISS of 2006 was pushed back. Has there been any announcement for a new completion date. Also, what will be its final magnitude?

2011 and could be as bright as -8. It all really depends on the last Shuttle flights and Russian flights to get the hardware to the station.

Minus 8 magnitude? Hasn't anyone at NASA heard of light pollution? Somebody better get up there and flock that thing.

You'd think in a budget of billions of dollars, they'd spring for a couple of cans of Krylon Flat-Black!

Ok so it will be bright, but it is not like you see it everynight. Besides Iridium flares can get that bright too

As long as there's only one, I don't mind the brightness. If there were a whole fleet of them up there, passing over all night long, then it would get to be a problem.
