Nebulosity looks pretty good. I also see it supports the Canon RAW format which is also good.

Yes guide scope rings and bar and a ST-80 is a great way to go , some people guide with a finder scope even.

I use Deep Sky Stacker , Nebulosity and Photoshop CS2.

A cheap jumper battery from home depot is what I use to power my mount in the field.

Well what I ordered so far was the 80 ED, 4 eyepieces of various lengths, a barlow, a diagonal, tube rings and a dove tail mounting bar. When I get paid on the 15th I'll order the goto cg-5. That should be all I need to observe unless I'm mistaken (I already have an old finder scope, if it doesn't work well I'll buy a new one). Once im comfortable and have had some fun with that I think I will buy the short tube 80, guide scope rings, guide scope mounting bar, Orion starshoot autoguider a t-ring and a adapter for prime focus or eye piece projection photography. Am I missing anything? I used to observe with my grandpa and have always taken an interest in astronomy so I hope to be a somewhat quick learner.

Sounds like you will be set for a while , I would say get out there and have some fun and worry about pictures later once you get a hold of how to run things , it gets much more complicated once you start down this path.
