Milwaukee highway lighting

I cannot believe it. I opened the local paper today and found an article talking about how they are going to replace bulbs in highway lights that they are supposed to replace every four years but that have not been done because of budget issues. So, this year, they will be spending $400,000.00 on new bulbs and in four more years they will be replacing those same bulbs again. If they would replace them with LED lighting they could save money over time both with reduced energy costs and maint costs.

Here is a link to the article.

I would urge people to email the newspaper at: jsmetro@journalsentinel.com to urge them to publish an article on alternative lighting and it's benefits.

Also copy the editors..
Contacts, editors about 1/3 way down page.

Thanks,
Daren
