Hi everybody,
while looking for less expensive alternatives to JMI's wheeley bars, I came across a dolly they normally use for camera tripods. A photo is posted below. Maximum load capacity is listed at 50 kg; my entire setup (OTA, mount, tripod, counterweights) weighs about 30 kg. The positions of the tripod locks are fully adjustable, and the distance between two caster wheels is about 95 cm. Moreover, the wheels have individual brakes. And most importantly: it's relatively cheap at 45 euros. My concerns are twofold:
(1) Are the tripod clamps large enough to accomodate the CG-5 tripod? (2) Will the resulting setup be stable enough? My shed has a reasonably flat floor, so irregularities in the wheel path won't be a problem.
What do you think? Will this be possible? I'm willing to do some light modifications. Any suggestions?
Thank you very much in advance!

I think that it would work. Good camera tripods are just as big as a CG-5, so the clamps should fit. The weight capacity is within limits so, no problem there. When you lock the wheels, just make sure that they are all facing a different direction in order to prevent movement of the dolly.
