Yes, i did sell my Hyperion set (few left ) So what is the next step?
Apparent Field: 100º ??? (You know what...)
Or a 8-24 Zoom?
Ethos does work good with planetary, more contrast, good partner with PowerMate 2x and 4x?
So you think i could manage quite well with 13mm Ethos? im quite sure i don´t need more than 3 eyepieces even 1 EP could do it

3 eyepieces might work OK...but just ONE? I dunno about that!
Just out of curiosity, why did you sell the Hypes?

I'd go with the Ethos, but then, I'm not a zoom fan in general. Some people like 'em.

You can make up a self-sufficient, very high quality, all-purpose (DSO, planetary) with just three eyepieces and a 2X Powermate:
31 or 26 T5 Nagler for low-power widefield 13Ethos 8Ethos 2x Powermate (which effectively adds 6.5mm and 4mm to your stable).
While the 13E would be a good choice IF somehow you were given a binding ultimatum that you could only ever have ONE eyepiece, period - the 8E is perfectly spaced IMHO, in that most people who have the combination don't really seem to pine much for the missing focal lenths in-between.

I sold my Hypes to probably get Ethos EP´s set! everyone knew I told a lie:
"im quite sure I don´t need more than 3 eyepieces, even 1 EP could do it"
that´s just impossible!!! If i buy Pentax EP or Ethos EP, I know that the whole set has to be bought! "If you get one...you have to get em all"

Yep a nice low power finder eyepiece & the 2 Ethos, and your right! 3 ep's will do it! (and maybe a nice barlow when seeing permits higher power) Shawn

summer vacations are nearly over. Everybody back to school. Had bad summer weather. So,
expect very good weather starting in september (obviously starting after the labor day week-end were it will be raining all week-end long).
Expect great nights of excellent seeing and transparancy expecially on nights with a full moon!!
Just hoping for a good month of september!!
