Collimation Eyepieces
      #2574590 - 08/11/08 03:07 PM

Does anyone know what one would see if the collimation eyepiece supplied with some Celestron refractors has the reflecting mirror at some angle other than 45 degrees? In other words, if the collimation eyepiece is off, would it make my lenses look like they are mis-collimated? Or does it make any difference? In testing my 80mm F/5, it shows to be way off center using the collimation eyepiece, but I don't want to take drastic measures until I know I'm getting an accurate view of what is going on!
