I downloaded the drivers for the Starfish and installed them. I then tried to connect to PhD Guide and Nebulosity with the Starfish. It gives the message: Problem connecting to camera.
I tried all of the settings; ASCOM, On Camera, GPUSB, etc with no luck.
I loaded the drivers on 2 different USB ports. No change.
The operating system is 32 bit Vista. Bob at Fishcamp said that the driver is compatible with the 32 bit system.
So...what am I doing wrong? The Orion guider I had hooked right up. Do I need the GPUSB?
Edit: I tried it in MaximDL. I have no experience with DL but I believe it hooked up under the "Guider" tab. It showed that the cooler wasn't available which it true because this is a non-cooler version.
Thanks! David

With my Starfish, I have to make sure that I do not have the guider attached to a USB port of the computer when I start the computer up. The guider disables whatever USB port is connected to it when the computer starts up. If I plug the guider into the USB after I have started the computer, everything is fine.
I have a beta version of the Starfish, so this might have been fixed in the production models. Bob was going to look into it, but I have not heard from him in a while, so I don't know the status of this problem.

Thanks, Rob. However, the computer was booted before plugging in the guider. I just downloaded Craig's latest version of PhD. I'll give it a try when I get a chance. Maybe that'll be the cure.
