Thanks every one, NyAither, I have only been imaging for about 2 years the first year was with a DSI & Atlas EQ-G & a 10" F4.5 not the best setup . Then I got involved in NEAIC and learned a lot from some of the best! It's only been year with equipment that will get something to be happy about. I hope that still makes me a beginner.

Beautiful shot Bob. We ALL seem to be beginners, even after a few years. Every time I go out to shoot, there always seems to be either a different way to shoot, or a different way to process afterwards. We never cease to learn when doing this wonderful stuff.

Excellent image -- very smooth. You don't often see images of this one.

Bob -

Very good job on this rarely imaged object. In looking at the histogram you seemed to have clipped the black point a little and lost some of the dimmer detail. I did a quick run through with PS and came up with this. You could get even better results if you start again and work on not clipping the data.

Thanks Randallk, Well considering over two years of imaging you only get maybe 80 good night ( no clouds ) then out of the 80 something like 10 – 20 % go down to bugs in the equipment then take out the next 20% for family stuff now take away 20% more for seeing, dew, and so on … I guess we you end up with 30 nights over 2 years it shoot some great stuff not a lot of time to become an expert.
