What is inside of a 2-Speed Microfocuser that make it work?

Please don't take yours apart to see what's inside...

But it consists of two sets of steel bearings, a set of three large ones, and a set of a bunch of tiny ones, that use pressure to turn the larger single speed knob once for every 10 or so revolutions of the slow speed knob.

Its an ingeniously engineered product, with very high quality machined parts.

I have one on order. Great review. I will read it a couple more times before my 2-speed arrives.

err its a radio dial tuner (dial vernier) designed in or around 1920.Not dissing it but the idea its from is ingeneous not the use here. It irks me as this is where the part comes from and that Joe Bauer designed a unit from it several years ago for telescopes, and gets no credit.

I have a Megrez 80 Apo (not a Megrez II) I ordered the 2 speed microfocuser and am unable to get it to work. Has anyone installed this on a non Megrez II 80?
