Huckabuck did a fantastic job. Love the pinpoint stars only film can provide. The homemade mount (like those I used to read the plans for in Astronomy, Sky & Telescope) did a nice job!

---All selections were superb choices. The Beginner's and CCD entries had a magical 3-D quality, the film entry gave a wonderful result especially with classic imaging methodology, the Jupiter image was something I'd expect from a spacecraft, and the sketch was a delightful composite. ---Here's a question: Does weatherandsky plan to market this image and if so (and I hope it is so) where can we purchase one?

MarkSeibolds sketch for me. It requires concentration and careful observation to draw, let alone render in pastels. I am sure everyone would learn the Moon's features far quicker if they sketched.

They are all great, but the weatherandsky one is just magical. Almost like a fantasy painting for a scifi novel cover.

All very nice, but it's the reflection of the stars in the water that did it for me in weatherandsky's picture. Very nice everyone.

WOW!!! Every month, the choice gets harder and the images just blow my mind. This month is no exception. the images are spectacular!!!. Just beyond words ... The incredible resolution in the M13 image, The amazing image of Jupiter with IO, Ganymede and Europa in the frame, the beautiful and artistic sketching of the moon ... All amazing!!! but I had to choose just one, and so my vote goes to weatherandsky. Truly one of the best images we have seen so far. It almost looks hand painted.

Boy, this was a hard decision. Jupitor, and M13 are super and the stars in the lake are fabulous. But being an artist myself, I had to vote for the drawing of the moon. Excellent job, and on a choice background.
