I'm planning to use an off-axis guider on my 8" SCT with an autoguider and have some concerns about bringing the autoguider to focus. The OAG I plan to get is the Lumicon Easy Guider for SCTs and the autoguider is the Orion StarShoot AutoGuider. I'm clueless as to how to bring the autoguider to focus. Will I need an extension tube, and if so, how long? Should I get a helical focuser for fine focus, like this one from Borg? Is the guideport somehow parfocal with the camera port?
I'm curious as to what works for others.
Thanks!

This distance from your OAG's mirror to your guider CCD and your OAG's mirror to your Main CCD need to be equal.
So focus shouldn't be a problem, everything is equal distance from the mirror.
Go to Astrodon's OAG site for more info.

Thanks, John! I was hoping that this would be the case.
