Tommy, thanks very much.

Scopethis, I forgot to mention the Turtle Nebula name in my report. I didn't see any of the flipper-like ansae that give it the turtle appearance in photographs, but Steve O'Meara's amazing eyeballs picked up a couple of them in a sketch he published in his Hidden Treasures book.

Wonderfully detailed sketch of NGC 7008, Bill! You really picked up on the appearance that gives it its imaginative name.

Dave (Mitsky), your view of NGC 6543 through the 24" and the I3 sounds fantastic. I've been meaning to go after NGC 7027 to see what it has to offer; thanks for the recommendation.

Dave (Aucoin), thanks for the recommendation of Abell 39, I would love to track that one down. I'll be interested to see what the eight inch scope can do with it.
