GSO 42mm on an 8" f/10 SCT new
      #2579030 - 08/13/08 02:15 PM

Will the GSO 42mm eyepiece work well on an 8" f/10 SCT scope? What is the maximum long focal length 2" eyepiece that can be used on it? Any recommendations? Thanks

I use a 40mm Swan from WO in a 8" SCT scope. It works well but there is some vignetting probably as my FOV is 1.4 degrees with that 70° EP. It gives me nice 50x views.

WO 2" dielectric diagonal retrofitted with Denk Power Switch (and now reach the zenith with the shorty adapter).

I like view with TMB Paragon 40mm and Vixen LVW 42mm
on my Vixen VMC260L, giving 75x/71x about 1 degree TFOV.

Paragon is sharper at edge than LVW. I can't tell
which one is sharper on axis. Both are excellent.
However, LVW is more comfortable to view than Paragon.
