Siebert vs Astro_tech
      #2581637 - 08/14/08 05:39 PM

Does anyone have any experience with either of these 2 eyepiece manufacturers?. Haven't been able to find enough information about either to sufficiently make a educated purchase. I have a fairly fast scope {10" F4.7 Orion Intelliscope.}I have heard that both are fairly acceptable for my scope, but am not seeing alot of information. Can anyone help?.....Thanks....

Siebert has been around for some time now, & there have been reports on them.

The Astro-Tech eyepiece line is new, so not many have them, to give an opinion yet.

Hi

I have both types --

link to report on Astro-Tech Titan ep's: A-T Titans

The Siebert Ultra WF 24mm ep's are very nice also and are excellent values for a very well made WF ep.

Hope this helps somewhat

Clear skies
Howard

The Siebert observatory series are a nice light 2" EP. Finish is 'plain, but the optics are very nice. Harry has a nice website.
