'T' means 'type' - currently TeleVue are selling 'type 4', 'type 5' and 'type 6' Naglers, so people write 9T6, 12T4 or 31T5 as a shorthand for "9mm type-6", "12mm type-4" etc.

The 'T1's are the original Naglers, although TeleVue never called them that (just 'Nagler'), type-2s are discontinued and there never was a type-3

Sounds to me like you need a little reading. Read these articles and you should come away with a basic understanding of these eyepieces.

Televue Eyepieces part 1...

Nagler Eyepieces part 2...

Nagler Mythos...

This is not the end all of Televue Eyepiece information but these articles are a great introduction to the differences of these eyepieces. The people who wrote these did a very good job and I thank them for these articles as they have been helpfull to me as well..
