Does anyone have one of these? Asus EEE PC They're inexpensive, but they're compact and seem like they'd work very well. The 4 GB flash drive model (which starts up immediately) is less than $400. They come loaded with Linux (Stellarium has a Linux build) and seem like they'd be great to take into the field. Plus, if you buy from Amazon now ... you can buy 8 GB SD cards for less than $20 effectively tripling your memory.

I purchased the 16G with windows XP loaded for $450.00. I have installed Starry Nights and PHD guiding via SD flash card but have not had a chance to do any guiding yet.
