Hi Steve,
Can you reproduce this star graphic? I have looked all over the web to try and find the original group that used this star to ask permission but I have failed in locating any reference to it at all.
Thanks! Adam

That's a wicked cool logo!
Here are three references to the Dark Skye Regiment, a sub-group of the Sacramento Valley Astronomical Society . Apparently, they are a clever bunch of kilt wearing astronomers, including an associate of CN's very own Carey from Woden Optics and Optic Wave Laboratories. The relevant SAA post (last link below) references www.astronerds.com , which sells astro-related t-shirts, so copyright infringement may apply here. A couple of these posts have contact info for the DSR principals, so you might want to give them a shout to see if they'll grant permission and maybe even supply the graphic for you. I'll bet they would.

Hi Adam,
Please let me know by PM if you have any luck getting the graphic and permission. I'd like to have a hoodie made, too!

It looks like it is patterned after any "celtic knot", which if you were to google, you'd see many of them. You might be able to design your own, which I would have no problem reproducing in stitches.

Steve, just out of curiosity, what is the prefered file type for transmitting a design for you to stitch out? pdf, jpg, gif, bmp, dwg, etc.

Hi Steve, Thanks for the offer. That would be great! I haven't had any luck from either OWL Optics or the SVAS. I did find some other graphics that would be pretty cool to use for a hoodie if the DSR design doesn't pan out.
Cheers! Adam

I'll call. In the meantime, you can post what you have here, I can grab it off this site and convert it to stitches....I can always use the practice.

While doing some searching on the net I found that the black hole logo is copyrighted. Oh well, so much for that one it was way cool.
