Welcome Eddie! You picked a fine scope! I and a number of folks here also are new ETX-125'ers.
You can pick up some great tips on your new scope on the Cloudy Nights Meade ETX Forum here.
You're gonna love it, I promise! Looking forward to your first light report!

I bought mine a couple of months ago and I love it! And yes, be sure to visit us down in the ETX Forum. The only quick comments I have is read the manual, Plan on calibrating the motors and training the drives a couple of times (once to see how it's done, again once you know how to do it, it's very easy), and note the LNT home position is all the way counter clockwise, not clockwise (the mistake I made with mine by not paying attention).
And welcome to Cloudy Nights!

Jupiter is one of my favorites. I saw it for the first time not all that long ago myself, a moment I won't forget. I still go out and look at it often. Welcome to CN and congratulations on a fine scope.

It's awesome, isn't it? Hard to beat the 125 for planetary views, it just has some awesome optics. I'm certain as you use it more, you're going to come to love it even more. Thanks for your first light insight! Always cool to hear someone's first views!
