Loose Panoptic barrel
I just bought a 19mm TV Panoptic today and when I got home the barrel was extremely loose. Is that normal and will I somehow damage it by tightening it? Does the fact that it was loose mean that the lenses are also loose or are the lenses separately held in place whether or not the barrel is loose? After the money that I just spent this really has me concerned.

Hand tighten it,shake it.If there is no rattle noise it should be fine.

Yep - do that. If it happens to rattle afterwards, that means the retaining ring is slightly loose too. Turn the EP upside down on a table, unscrew the barrell and hand tighten the ring inside. It doesn't take much. My 24 Pan was loose from shipping. 1/8 turn and all better. This is common with a lot of ep's. Do a quick search on Panoptic Rattle. Lots of more specific instructions.
I throw this out there simply because if the barrel is that loose, chances are the retaining ring will be too. Better to tighten both up.
