Hi everyone, Is the ZS 66 SD and a Dsi Pro a good combo for guiding? I was wondering about the pixel size. Thanks

Hey Lawrie, I just got the 66SD(havent had a chance to use it yet)but have all the confidence that it will guide my ED80 w/o a hiccup with my DSI pro When using my C9 though I am gonna stick with the ED80..which has worked perfectly.. You can see my new WF rig in the "Oooops..MY bad MY bad" post..

I've been guiding for a while with a WO 66SD and DSI Pro. Works great using PHD. Several nights ago, I was doing perfect 10-min. subs with just a polar scope alignment. Mike

I use a WO 66SD, DSI Pro and PHD to guide my 10 in LX200 Classic (using F3.3 reducer). It does just fine (I use 2 min exposures on the imaging camera). :

Good stuff, Thanks guys. I had read (somewhere-I think) that this combo had been used to guide for a focal length of 1600mm. any one believe this?

I use a similar setup, ZS66 and Orion SSAG when I image on my CPC925. I have a shot linked here showing a single 20min sub when using a reducer. This gave me a FL of about 1480, so not too far off from the 1600. I also have done some subs @ 10 min without the FR, which gives a FL of 2350mm and they came out good.
I'm sure there are likely some differences in the ArcSec / pixel betweel the SSAG and the DSI Pro, but yeah, I could believe it.
