last Tuesday night i took a look at the king of planets with my C6R achro jup held well at high powers showing good detail at 220x and 181x.The grs dominated the planet as it always does at the meridian, above the grs and flanking it were two dark condensations, the preceding one formed the wall of grs jr which moving away fronm the grs and the trailing dark spot which has been prominent the last few weeks. The neb as thinner and darker than the seb which has a huge rift running through it and is so much lighter then the neb that i can almost detect the fuzzy cotton ball like stuff that swirls with in it like you see in voyager, webcam, Sol Robbins sketches etc.The eq was quiet but small dim crud was swirling in it, the southern edge of the neb was a bit ragged but no real large festoons like last season.I should take every opportunity to view jup because once it is gone a long planetary drought will follow.

Tommy,
An excellent observation of Jupiter showing much detail The Greta Red Spot (GRS) on the CM gives the impression of a "cyclops" looking at us. Much activity is noted around the GRS as well. Thank you for sharing it with us al.
