hi everyone my mums been sick for awhile and tonight she was rushed to the hospital her heart had stopped beating and she couldnt breath on her own we almost lost her and she may still may not make it.the doctor sent me and my dad home because there was nothing we could do there tonight they have her in a induced coma.i can not sleep i came on here to ask if you could say a prayer for her, maybe someone will listen if there are enough voices.
i have been coming to this forum for about 8 months and even through i have never met any of you i feel a kinship with you all your kindness and dedication to spreading the light of knowledge tell me that there are a great bunch of people here.i think this became really apparent today when i was reading a post this afternoon about a guy who purchased a used scope and didnt have a collimation tool one of the other members said he had 2 and asked for the mans address to send him one free of charge that is kindness.my mom would be verry proud of you.
my moms name is christine she is 59 years old and i love her with all my heart. she teached me to apprecate beauty and to be a good kind person.i try everyday to be this person and i hope i have made her proud.if you believe in the power of prayer could you say one tonight to keep my mom safe and give her strenth to pull throught.Thank you and god bless you all.

Hey Russell. I'll pray for her. So, if you can't sleep, is it at least clear outside where you are? Might be better to go out and observe than sit inside and drive yourself nuts.

I'm praying for your Mom Russell. I agree with Chris. If you can get yourself outside tonight and look to the physical heavens, you WILL be comforted. May the spiritual heavens put your mind and heart at ease.

Dear Russell,
You and your mom and family will be in my prayers tonight and always. I can feel the love and kindness within you just from reading your post. Your mom must be very proud of you. Hold fast now and know that the Creator is with you and that He knows and understands all things. Whenever we are weak, He is stong, and will hold us up. Your mom rests in His arms, and she is in the right place with the right attention being given her. Trust in God and follow where He leads. That's the best you can do. I have been in your situation, and sometimes these things are more scary than they really are. I pray that your mom comes through just fine.
If you need to talk more, feel free to PM me. Whatever I can do for you will be my pleasure. God bless you all.

Russell,
I can't offer prayers because that's not me. My thoughts are with you, however. Perhaps more than you could realise.
You and Dad will find comfort in each other (and with friends and family) at this time. And sure, with us CNer's as well.
When either or both of you visit Christine would you like to try to do this? Touch her, hold her hand, talk to her about trivial or funny or day to day things. Its not easy to do. She may be very cold to touch as in an induced coma it is common for the Docs to lower the body temperature to slow things down so that she has the best possible chance of healing herself. You will be very upset. But in a coma there is a big chance that her subconscious will pick up on the familiar voices of loved ones, that will help her to find the inner strength to pull through.
I really do feel for you and I can completely relate to you on this
