Hello everyone,
The last time I posted here, I had just fixed my computer and was telling you how you would be seeing more of me around the forum. Well, two days later my computer died for good! Fortunately, I had saved all of my important files on a CD before it croaked, but I haven't been able to afford a new one. I wanted to let you all know that I haven't forgotten about you, and I should have a new PC by the end of September. I am also leaving hot, steamy Florida and heading out west where I belong. I've just been hired by the Oregon Department of Transportation, and I'll be moving to Oregon in a couple of weeks. It will be nice to have new skies to explore, and hopefully I'll have some sketches to share with you all in the near future.
Clear, dark skies,
Jaycin

Jaycin, it's great hearing from you. I wondered what ever happened of you. Good luck with your new job and I'm excited for your move to Oregon.

Oregon huh? Do you know where you are moving to? It is amazing out here, we've got a dark site an hour from town that is darker than the whole state of Florida!
Hope to see your around some time,
Aaron

Jaycin,
So nice to hear you will soon have new surroundings. I think you will like the darker skies. It will be great to really have you back here at CN; we have all missed you.

Jason,
It is great to hear from you. I hope that your move to Oregon is an uneventful one. The skies in Oregon are very dark as I have seen (I have a brother-in-law in Florence, Oregon on the coast). I am sorry that we never got together while you were in Florida. The best of luck and please keep observing.

You aren't kidding about that! I used to live about 5 outside of Roseburg along the Umpqua River, and man do I remember how velvet-black the skies were on our property.
Good luck to you Jaycin, and let us know how things go for ya'! I can assure you that the many dark-sky locations in Oregon will indeed get you excited about observing all over again!
