For the UK crowd, I just noticed a Nikon 8x30 EII like new for sale at a good price on the Shop and Swap board.
If you can live with 13.5mm of eye relief, these are a great wide field 8x glass. 8.8° FOV and very comfortable to look through!
Just thought I'd point it out.

I agree. My most used bino for other than astro. Great close focus capability for a porro design. Very sharp image for the inner 70% of the FOV. Color rendition leaves no complaints from me even compared with my Celestron Regal LX that has recently been highly praised in this forum.
