Another Callisto Transit from 8-21
      #2598751 - 08/23/08 02:09 PM

I have been trying all summer to get a descent shot of Jupiter. With as low as Jupiter is, it has been difficult. The other night during the Callisto transit I was running a 3 minute avi and during about half of it the atmosphere steadied. This is a stack of 250 frames shot with with a Celestron Neximage and a CPC 1100.

Callisto is to they left, Io is on the left rim, and Europa is to the right.

That's a really nice widefield shot! Well done.

Hi Andreas!
Very nice catch on the Jovian system - given the altitude as an additional challenge!

Your pic delivers strong 3-dimensional presence!
Congrats

Be well - and thanks for sharing this with us!
