Hi all After looking at the stars for years i got myself a c8-ngt and it works great and being a beginner setup and finding objects is to easy,The only problem is the focuser, every time you focus the object moves back and forth. could a antares focuser http://www.islandeyepiece.com/shopexd.asp?id=1205 fit on the c8-ngt. thanks

The problem you are seeing is called mirror shift, and it is the result of the way SCTs focus by moving the primary mirror.
The focusers you show are meant for newtonians and refractors.
The same focuser (made by GSO in Taiwan) is available for SCTs. Here is a link to one supplier in the US:

You can check with Island Eyepiece & Telescope to see if they have something similar, or with ScopeStuff to see if they can ship to Canada.

DOH! Sorry, I knew that, but I saw "C8" and it registered SCT in my mind!
As Gilda Radner used to say on Saturday Night Live (for those of you over 40), "Never Mind"...

Do you mean the object moves around in the view as you adjust the focuser? This seems odd, does the drawtube wobble or something? Anyway, the Antares focuser should fit fine. I replaced the original R&P focuser on my 8" dob with that same one. It is much smoother!
