Best effort hampered by malfunctioning dew strap and hazy transparency.

Amazing. I've never seen that level of detail with my Tak FC-100 f/8, on the best nights, at 37 deg Lat.

Excellent sketch. Thanks for the view. I'm amazed how you can see Jupiters festoons so well. With my 10" refl I can barely detect them. You confirmed what I thought I was seeing, with the festoons, but wasn't sure.

The Moon & Skyglow filter really helps, along with getting a sharp focus, also I have to wait for the time that Jupiter is crossing the meridian. Jupiter helps to keep my observing/sketching skills sharp until the next apparition although once Jupiter is gone I might be sketching DSO's for a while. I love the radian eyepiece eye relief, they are sharp to the edge in TV refractors and are the only eyepieces I use for lunar and planetary these days. Thanks all for your comments.

Denis,
Excellent observation and images of Jupiter. Much detail noted over the major belts (NEB and SEB). I hope to look at Jupiter myself soon. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

Thanks Carlos, just packing up to go to the Saskatchewan Summer Star party in Cypress Hills Dark Sky preserve this weekend, hope to catch Jupiter higher from 49 degrees, along with some other targets in dark non light polluted skies.
