Don't know. Sales could be slowing down and vendor's just want to move stock.

Another sale price here.

I would not mind seeing a second generation unit that is more accurate and less sensitive to magnetic interference.

You might be protedted actually.

In some states if you make a purchase and it goes on sale within a certain amount of time they have to refund the difference.

When you look at them, they should be pretty cheap, there is not that much to them.
They have been out for quite a while now so the price was always going to come down a long way and hopefully it will fall even further.
I paid top whack for mine when they first came out but it's the astronomical device I use the most so it's been the cheapest viewing instrument I've ever purchased when you look at how often it gets used and that I've been able to take it around the world as well.
I hope they get cheaper so they can reach a wider market and a greater audience.
2009 is the International Year of Astronomy, what better gift to give to a child or a beginner than a sky scout to learn the sky with?

They're back at Frys.com for $179.

Mine finally got delivered this week and the CSC curse followed. Luckily the skyscout works through clouds.
