I submitted these to the Tiny Eyes on the Skies Banner Contest. It's the only astronomy related art that I have at the moment. Feel free to ask me any questions about how they were made etc...

The contest was a good motivation to be creative. I could sure use that telescope prize though... All I have are my binoculars. I ordered a copy of Turn Left at Orion and I know it would be so much more useful with a small scope. :praying:

It's not in the forum section, but there is a link to it on the homepage. The link is http://www.cloudynights.com/kids/tiny%20eyes.htm. It is, however, only for kids 18 and under. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything about it as to avoid competition , but I guess there isn't that much competition anyway... and that's a little dishonest in a way I suppose...

Well, originally the ending date was November 15th. But for some reason they extended it to November 24th. I sent an email asking why but got no response. So I'll have to wait till monday and see what happens. Heh, thanks for thinking about me;)
P.S.: Looking forward to the Astro Art How To!!

Yippe! I won the contest! The top banner with the grass was the one they chose (I think it's better too).
I'm so excited about my new scope! Looking forward to trying my hand at some eyepeice drawings. And when I start my photography class I'll be getting a camera that should yeild interesting pictures with that telescope's F4.3 optics... though I hear astrophotography is quite difficult.
This is what I'm doing infront of my computer right now: :jump:   :o :) :D  :thewave: :flower: :dancingman: :silly: :roflmao:

Astro-
Congrats!!!! And nice banner!
Now I must scold you for winning the contest, cause since you're getting a new scope, you've damned us New Yorkers to 2 weeks of nothing but clouds.
