Very well done Stets! I must have a go at this sometime, like Stephen I use Heavens Above to catch it at night.

I have never seen it at night... only my lucky chance has been the solar x-ing in my pst.
THAT alone was worth it.

Thanks Daniel, Mark, Andy, "Fhuyu", and Adrian. As much as I enjoyed observing transits, I am a bit disappointed that webcams offer such low resolution of individual images (much better when aligned and stacked, etc.). And so the question is whether anyone has any ideas about getting higher resolution images of individual frames (or pictures). Video does not seem to provide high resolution (not even HD; about 1 megapixal per frame) compared with DSLR cameras. DSLRs (now 12 megapixals per frame)provide high resolution, but they do not take more that about eight frames a second for more than a few seconds. Any thoughts about how to increase the resolution of individual frames captured in an event that lasts about a second?

More Money in the bank to buy a better camera....
My guess is that you cant get more resolution out of a camera that just does not have it.
for myself... I just come here to look at the "pro's" do their work. I only wish I was as good as 99.9% of the pic's I see on here. I am in visual mode until retirement!
Well, or at least until my kids allow me to have an observatory that I can actually finish, and put my scope outside permanently. I have 2 good camera's... but so little spare time to get the curve down to produce these types of pic's.
Keep em coming!
