PWT Baby 7" Pinnacle Pier
      #2624408 - 09/04/08 08:38 PM

Particle Wave Technologies has sent me a prototype to test for their new 7" pier. It's normal targeted use is not for the Paramount, as I would normally use the Paramount on my 10" Pinnacle, but more for owners of the G11, CGE, and smaller crowds. They fabricated an adapter plate for a 10" Paramount ME Full Index adapter for use on the "baby pinnacle" for me. The pier only weighs 11lbs. The adapter plate and the FIA weigh 9lbs. This thing is ROCK solid. I weigh 300lbs (need to go on a diet), and I can stand on it to change the light bulbs in my office without any fear of it moving.

Tonight I'm going to do some long exposure Ha shots and give it a try. PWT should have an ETA soon of when the production models will be shipping. I'm sure it will have a color choice just like my 10" Pinnacle did, and I am getting the adjustable knobs for the feet tomorrow from them.

I will be doing longer term testing of this pier with my CGE over the next few months. I'll take some more pictures tonight when I set up everything outside. It's still 104F!!
